Starring Trevor Howard and Celia Johnson, the famous scenes were filmed at Carnforth Railway Station in Lancashire, England.

Brief Encounter is popular the world over and across all ages groups.

Here the only surviving member of the original cast Margaret Barton now 93, talks to MIM's Ashley Byrne about her role in the classic movie.

Note: Margaret recently got married in her 90s and her new name is Margaret Cave.
